Ashley Kelly grew up in the Southeast surrounded by both the mountains and waterways of the Carolinas. Her first introduction to music was on a wrap-around porch at her grandmother's farmhouse out in the country. The family gathered there each Sunday for a large spread of home cooked food, and her grandmother would play songs on an old organ. Music was a daily ritual, and Ashley grew up embracing harmonies, jam sessions, and a deep love for songwriting. She learned guitar early on and eventually joined a country rock band that played the bar circuit. Throughout her life, the pull toward music never faded, and Ashley finally started recording her own songs in a local studio in North Carolina. Now, with the release of a high-energy new single “Overdrive,” Ashley delivers a feel-good anthem built on infectious hooks and undeniable optimism.
